This reserve will get recharged when you next charge your phone. Add Comment The emergency number worldwide for all mobile phones is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area from your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and your mobile will search all existing networks to establish the emergency number. The 112 number can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. Is a particular mobile number connected to Telstra, Optus, Vodaphone, etc. You can find out for free at this link. In response to Tom's Comment (which is appreciated), I've conducted a check of an associate's mobile number who I know used to be on Telstra, but has changed to Optus. The photo below is the result of the search on his number. As you can see, it shows the "Original Network" as well as the "Current Network".  Dial the following code to change the number of rings before calls go to Messagebank. To display Caller ID on a call-by-call basis: Include *31# before the number you are calling. Need to identify the number of a particular phone (land line or mobile) you have access to. Call 1 2 7 2 2 1 2 3 from the phone and a digital voice will read back that phone's number. To conduct an internet search for a phone number in Australia, enter the following into your browser search field. site:.au "1234 5678" Be sure to include a space after site:.au and include the quote marks around the four digits, a space, then another four digits. Change the formatting to four digits, a space, three digits, a space, three digits, for mobile phone numbers. E.g. site:.au "0418 444 444" Using the Sensis directory service number, 1234, costs 40c for the call, then 4c a second. By law, Telstra must provide a free directory assistance number. They choose, however, not to pass this number on to the public. The free number is 1223. When you call 1300, 1800 & mobile phone numbers, they are all recorded on your phone bill. Do not call a PI on these numbers if you wish to keep that call confidential from your partner. A simple Google search will easily reveal who you called. |
