Personal background checks uncover information about a person's character and past. They are often used in dating and prenuptial situations and a background investigation will tell you if someone is being honest about their past or if they have not been truthful. They are also used for domestic help screening such as nannies, housekeepers, and personal assistants.

Personal background checks offer you piece of mind when making decisions about the future. All background checks are totally confidential and the person being investigated will not find out about the investigation.

What can be learned from a background check?

The starting point includes information such as their age, marital status, address histories and their public criminal prosecutions and convictions.  You can also find out if there have been debt problems in the past, including bankruptcies, judgements and defaults. We find out if they are using aliases and we can also identify past legal actions, whether they are suing others or if they have been sued in the past.

The deeper levels of background investigations include contact with neighbours and associates to find out about personal habits, dating history, alcohol or drug use, personal lifestyle, social status and civic and community affiliations.  All this is conducted using pretexts so no one knows the investigation is being conducted.

Our fees

The scope and extent of our background checks vary from a basic series of searches and inquiries (starting at $150) to a more comprehensive series of investigations (which will maintain the inquirer's anonymity, if required) costing $500 and upwards, depending on the depth of information required.

We will work with you to only obtain only the information you need.  We will provide you with updates as worthwhile information is learned, so you can assess whether additional investigations are necessary.

You've met someone on an internet dating service, or chat forum, and you have been chatting for a while.  

They've told you quite a bit about themselves.  You like what you hear and are thinking of perhaps taking the situation to the next level - personal contact.

Before you do, you really should make sure they have been totally honest with you.  But, you also don't want to spend a fortune getting a private investigator to do a full background check.  You just want to know if some of what that person has told you is the truth.

We can establish:
  • Are they recorded as living where they say they live?
  • Who else is recorded living at the same address?
  • Who that person's phone number is listed to (some limitations apply).
  • Do they actually own the property they say they own?  (Qld and NSW only)
  • Are the emails they are sending you actually coming from the state / city / suburb where they say they live?
  • Meta Data Internet searches for additional information about that person.  This is a far deeper search than a standard "Google" search.

Email us with all the information you know about that person and we will run the above checks for you.  

If all the information that person has supplied turns out to be correct, there will be no charge.

If we find they have not been totally truthful with you, then our  $77.00 fee will apply and we will email you the results of our searches once you payment has been received.
