There is a plethora of spy devices available on the internet.  A Google search for "Spy Equipment" returns over 9 million pages. 

What works?  What doesn't work?  Is it the right equipment for what I need?

It can be pretty confusing. 

All of the following products have been thoroughly tested by us and are regularly used in our investigations.  We know they are of good quality and will get the job done because we work with them every day.  Only the very best items get our recommendation.

Do you need to record a conversation (with video and audio), be it an interview, a business meeting, your spouse, a shared custody change-over, in fact anything at all?

This is the one item you need.  Totally discreet - in fact, it works best when placed on a table between you and the person you want to record.  What could be more "forgettable" - a remote attached to you car key.  We've tested this with other P.I.s from two feet away, no one took any notice.  Totally reliable.  Simply brilliant!

Mini Bullet Camera + DVR (AU $330)

We mainly use this camera and DVR as a "car-cam" to record the actions of a person we are following in a vehicle.  However, the camera is small enough to be easily hidden (e.g. behind a pair of sunglasses) and with it's low light capabilities, motion detection function and 3 hours of recording capacity, it is an extremely versatile unit. 

With the various camera mounting attachments, it also makes a good sports action set-up.

It takes time to source spy gear (something new is out there almost every day), then order it, get it in, try it out in the office (and later in the field if it passes our preliminary tests) and then subject it to the usual every day knocks and bumps, software issues, etc.  If it passes all our criteria, we source that equipment from the best possible suppliers at the best possible price. 

Yes, you could get what appears to be the same gear from Ebay at a lesser price.  It might look the same, but it could actually be very different.  We recently advertised and supplied a key-chain covert camera that we knew worked well.  We tested each unit and it passed our tests.  But, when we needed more from our supplier, it seems there were now eight (8) different versions of the same product "out there".  They all looked identical, but were radically different in performance and reliability.  Frankly, some were just cr@p and we took a loss on that particular product line.  Although a little more expensive, the replacement item is far better value for money and won't let you down.  

Plus, because we use all the "JFA Brisbane Recommended" gear ourselves, if you every need a hand with its use or application, we would be pleased to help.  No charge.
